Where I am From

I am from Selbyville Illinois, which is a small town in central Illinois. It is a huge lake town, being the home of Lake Shelbyville. Growing up, I enjoyed playing sports and spending my time on the lake. Fishing and being has been a part of my whole life and is the reason I have gone into this area. Growing up in a small town, we are all very proud of our community and I want to do my part to help.

My Reasoning

I chose to help people learn more about fishing because it is a great hobby to have. Being in nature has always helped me throughout times of struggle or in times of just wanting to spend time outside. This is why this topic is so personal to me. Not only selling fishing gear, but teaching people is very important for me because I think anyone can enjoy all that comes with fishing. 

A Bigger Picture

I am also doing this to have money to donate to causes that help preserve aquatic habitats. Without having these clean areas of water for fish to live in, then these places will become scarcer than they already are. Preserving these species are important for our future generations to learn about and enjoy! If lakes like Lake Shelbyville are not maintained communities along with fish species will go into a downward spiral.
