What is Lake Shelbyville? Lake Shelbyville is a lake located in central Illinois in Shelbyville. Growing up here, I have learned just how good of a place Lake Shelbyville is. It is known for its size, along with how clean it is. This lake flows into the Kaskaskia River and has been a hot bed for fishers all around. Lake Shelbyville is a naturally fed lake, with no pollution run off that goes into it. This lake is in a small town but does not mean it does not have resources for great fishing.
